A Relaxing Sabbath
One of the student wards started at 9 am so I started the morning there. It was much like any other ward at BYU in Provo, except there was a much more international group of students, especially Polynesian and Asian. Regardless of the people it is great to see that the gospel is the same. They were a week off schedule from my ward in Virginia, so I got to hear the same lesson as the previous week, but it was still full of good insights and uplifting. Back at the house in the afternoon I had a restful afternoon reading some books before dinner.

Sunset Beach
After dinner we piled into the Oldroyd van and headed to Sunset beach to watch the Sunset. Pictures don't do the scenery justice. Over the whole vacation I kept wondering if there was anything I could do for a living here so I could stay. Sometimes I think the relaxed laid back atmosphere would drive me crazy. Other times I think it would be a great place to be in.
Fireside
The ward I had gone to in the morning had a speaker coming in the evening, so I headed over to campus for that. He was a missionary serving at BYUH and he imparted some wisdom on following the Savior; always an excellent topic. Afterwards I helped chase down some of the napkins that the swirling wind had blown away from the brownies being served for desert. The warm trade winds rarely calmed down, but even when the evenings got "cold" it was just under 70 degrees.
