Wednesday

My final day of surfing was at Chunn's Reef and turned out excellent. The waves were nice and so was the location. Suzy did take a photo of me riding a wave, but it is at the very end of the ride as I was near shore, so it isn't very impressive. It was fun though.

The Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) was more than I could do in a day, so I went back to see some of the island displays and wander through the gift shops. Afterwards I drove over to the temple grounds to take in the beautiful scenery. I lived less than 100 yards from the temple and didn't walk around until I was about to leave. Once home I began to pack and then drove down the eastern shore to get to the Honolulu airport.

Thursday

The over night flight was surprisingly comfortable and I did get some sleep. When we landed in Cincinnati it was cold and damp; a very unpleasant contrast to the sunny and 70 degrees when I left Honolulu. Arriving at IAD was more of the same weather. All the more reason to go back to Hawaii to visit again.
